Sore Throat and Ear Pain Relief: Walk-In Urgent Care

Strep throat and ear infections are two of the most common reasons patients visit urgent care. Here's what to expect at Quick Urgent Care.

When a Sore Throat Needs More Than Rest

A scratchy throat that won't quit, painful swallowing, fever — these symptoms could be a sign of strep throat, and strep doesn't get better on its own. Without antibiotics, strep can spread and, in rare cases, lead to complications like rheumatic fever.

At Quick Urgent Care, we can test for strep in about 10 minutes with an on-site rapid antigen test. No waiting days for lab results.

Ear Infections: Don't Wait It Out

Ear infections — especially in children — often escalate fast. Pain, pressure, muffled hearing, and irritability are all signs that bacteria may have taken hold in the middle ear. Our providers evaluate and treat ear infections on the same visit, including prescribing antibiotics when appropriate.

    What Happens During Your Visit

    1. Check in — walk in or reserve online to minimize your wait

    2. Evaluation — our provider examines your throat, ears, and lymph nodes

    3. Rapid testing — strep results in ~10 minutes; flu and COVID tests if needed

    4. Treatment plan — prescription sent to your pharmacy, return-to-work note if needed

    We Treat Adults and Kids

Both our Moore and Oklahoma City clinics see patients of all ages, including children. Family visits are welcome — bring everyone who needs to be seen.

When to Go to the ER Instead

If you or your child has difficulty breathing, severe swelling in the throat, high fever above 104°F that won't come down, or signs of severe dehydration, go to the nearest emergency room.

For everything else, Quick Urgent Care has you covered. Walk in any day 7am–8pm.
